TAS Heated Jackets / Heated Insulation Blankets

Temperature-Controlled Insulation Solutions for many industries and applications
TAS Heated Jackets combine removable-reusable insulation blankets with built-in electric heat-tracing cables, providing stable process temperatures while minimizing heat loss. Each jacket is custom-designed to fit the equipment and maintain the required operating temperature for fluids, adhesives, polymers, chemicals, or any medium that must remain heated and flowable.

What Are Heated Jackets?
Heated Jackets (also called heated insulation blankets) are flexible, custom-engineered covers that integrate an electric heating element inside a high-performance insulation system. They deliver uniform, controlled heating while protecting the process from temperature fluctuations and energy loss.

Typical uses include: preventing solidification, keeping viscous materials pumpable, avoiding production downtime caused by cold spots, or providing frost protection.

TAS blanket are custom CAD-designed to precisely fit complex geometries of tire presses, piping, valves, and other fittings. The removable-reusable design allows easy access for maintenance without damage, ensuring long-term usability.

Typical Applications
  • Adhesive and glue systems (hot-melt, PUR)
  • Chemical process lines
  • Dosing and filling systems
  • Extruder feed zones and manifolds
  • Pumps, valves, filters, and regulators
  • Food & beverage production (tanks, pipes, filling machines)
  • IBC containers and small vessels
  • Frost protection for outdoor equipment
  • Nitrogen Tanks
  • Any other application where the medium must stay warm, fluid, or above a critical temperature

Design & Construction
TAS Heated Jackets are engineered using a layered construction that integrates:

  • A durable outer cloth resistant to heat, mechanical wear, and chemical exposure
  • A high-performance insulation layer that retains heat and reduces energy consumption
  • An internally installed heating cable positioned to provide even temperature distribution
  • Safe and accessible power connection points
  • Multiple temperature control options (thermostat, PT100 sensor, control box, integrated temperature limiters)
  • Strong double-sewn seams and bound edges for maximum durability
  • Custom CAD design to ensure accurate, repeatable fit for all equipment types

Power ratings, cable types, and temperature control systems are selected according to the application, process requirements, and safety standards.

Truly Removable & Reusable
Equipment, machinery, and fittings often require regular inspection, servicing, and maintenance. TAS insulation blankets are truly removable and reusable, designed with a user-friendly approach that allows quick removal and reinstallation. This minimizes downtime and labor while maintaining full insulation performance, making them ideal for continuous and high-availability operations.
